Graz University Choir

Graz University Choir

The Choir

Since 1989 the Graz University Choir staged sacred and secular music across all centuries: ranging from Italian Madrigals, Renaissance, works by Mozart, Schubert, Brahms and Bach, Romanticism, French Impressionism to Spirituals, Musicals and even Jazz-Standards. Our repertoire includes also major works with orchestra and soloists. Besides concerts in Austria, we performed in France, Italy, Germany, Sweden, Canada and the US.

Since 2004 the choir is led by Conductor Matthias Unterkofler. Currently, the choir consists of ca. 60 singers - mainly students and alumni of the three major universities in Graz: the Karl-Franzens University, the Technical University and the Medical University.
